U-Green

Ultrasonic, sustainable. Ultrasustainable.

Marine fouling is certainly a main operative issue in the management of sea water in the naval industry. We are responsible for the development of chemical free and sustainable solutions to manage its prevention.

Different are the reasons why ultrasonic technology, after its initial diffusion in the 20’s, has been now repurposed as an innovative way to approach the environmental management of sea water in the naval industry.

Ultrasonic technology is intrinsically a green, sustainable and eco-friendly, technology. In this perspective, a primary awareness of the role of sea water management systems, in the delicate balance of nature, is mandatory.

Protect the world

The imminent ban of environmentally harmful tributyltin (TBT)-based products has been the cause of a major change in the management of marine fouling inside sea water chests and other components of the engine cooling system.

Moreover, International Maritime Organization (IMO) environmental legislation has been recently tightened up, resulting in an increasing diffusion of chemical free solutions to prevent the growth of biological fouling.

World changes, we develop

The current interest in providing innovative and sustainable antifouling systems to address this unmet need, led our research and development department to further investigate ultrasound technology through to a digital perspective.

After a decade of compelling results achieved with our analogic first-generation antifouling system, we decide to develop a second-generation digital Antifouling System, even more effective, durable and characterized by remarkable diagnostic capabilities.

The sea, the great unifier, is man’s only hope. Now, as never before, the old phrase has a literal meaning: we are all in the same boat.
