An ultrasonic anti-fouling system, if installed on a main crossover system or simply before any water treatment devices (such as Reverse Osmosis RO, Heat Exchangers, Scrubber systems, Fire Pumps and others..) allows to prevent the growth of biological fouling at a larval stage (or micro fouling) and subsequently avoid the formation of macro fouling, without interfering or stop the water treatment systems involved or using chemical or manual removal processes.
By means of piezoelectricity, an ultrasonic anti-fouling system simply allows to generate and propagate ultrasonic vibrations at a certain frequency from each transducer through the considered structures, avoiding the formation of biological fouling in the internal part of the pipeline or crossover/sea chest systems. We have initially developed an analogic version and then implemented our masterpiece: the first digital PLC controlled ultrasonic antifouling system.
While the analogic model achieved a great market response since the beginning for its extremely simple usage, the digital one has more diagnostic capabilities and allows you to take control on multiple variables of your antifouling system.
Our new system:
Three main components: one Electric Cabinet, one Ultrasonic Generator and from 1 to 40 Ultrasonic Transducers.

Technical Specification
Our systems are fully customizable and for that reason each personalization can drive to a considerable variety of set up and layouts. First of all, everything starts from the dimensional drawings of your vessel and anti fouling coverage needs. Electrical Cabinets can be dimensioned according to your vessel available space and anti fouling protection requirements. For example, a Fire Pump sea chest sea water intake is usually smaller than a main crossover dedicated sea chest-crossover circuit and for that reason dimensionally reduced in term of number of transducers, dimension of the cabinet and other elements.
The only common aspect of each system is the technological specification of each primary component as well as their respective power consumption and water protection level.
Each cabinet could be designed to be fitted to every possible fouling coverage scenario, from small numbered one to main sea chest crossover system
